MUN! stands for Micro Units Now! a program designed to rapidly build affordable housing in California. We have the capability to build enough housing units to house every single person in California, within a year, and micro units play a key role in the solution. Because of their small size, 190 to 240 square feet, and efficient design, micro units can be mass produced. Although the cost to build per square foot is extremely high in California, by limiting the number of square feet, we limit the build cost per unit. These units are incredibly efficient and have their own bathrooms, showers, and kitchenettes, here’s an actual example:
